We live in a cynical world and you could not find a more cynical person than me...love, for me has been nothing more than a word that is being used too loosely by the world around us.
But that does not make me a non believer...I still watch romantic movies and cry(make a fool out of myself in other words) when the hero sweeps the heroine off her feet :)
Anyways had less work today and decided to compile a few quotes on love from some movies…must say google is a treasure trove for such useless information.
Oh must warn u…some of the quotes are pretty corny…but then, guess love makes people corny right??? :)
"Do you ever put your arms out and just spin and spin and spin? Well, that's what love is like. Everything inside of you tells you to stop before you fall, but you just keep going."
- Practical Magic
“Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think of the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the twin towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. And if you look for it, I've got a sneaking suspicion that love actually is all around.”
“I love you even when you're sick and look disgusting.”
You are what I never knew I always wanted
-Fools Rush In
"When you realise You want to spend
The rest of your life with somebody,
You want the rest of your life
To start as soon as possible".
-When Harry Met Sally
All our young lives we search for someone to love, someone to make us complete. We choose partners and change partners. We dance to a song of heartbreak and hope, all the while wondering if somewhere, somehow, someone perfect is searching for us.
-The Wonder Years
"You make me want to be a better man."
-As Good As It Gets
“Fate exists but it can only take you so far, because once you're there, it's up to you to make it happen.”
-Can't Hardly Wait
"I may not be a smart man, but I know what love is."
That's why they call them crushes. If they were easy, they'd call them something else
And the BEST among all these....
“I wonder how many people never get the one they want, but end up with the one they're supposed to have.”
-Fried Green Tomatoes
