I have been a major fan of Calvin and Hobbes for as long as I can remember...one comic strip I never forget to read everyday.For all you people who dont follow Calvin n Hobbes(you know who u r !!!)this strip was written and illustrated by Bill Watterson and follows the antics of and over imaginative 6 yr old boy..Calvin and his companion Hobbes---a stuffed tiger who came alive when with Calvin. The strip was first published in 1985 and the final strip ran on Dec 31st 1995.
The funniest thing about this cartoon would be calvin's imagination..that kid is a little too intelligent for a six year old (dont think any other six yr old would be talking about existential angst n all, right)think thats the reason the strip appeals to the adult sense of humor and Hobbes...well he has his own brilliant ideas too.Guess most of us had an imaginary friends when we were kids who usually talked to us right...I did( Hope that doesnt make me sound too crazy...I swear I dont have an imaginary friends or stuffed toys that talk to me now :):):))
Continuing on my present obsession over Calvin n Hobbes....here are some of their thought provoking quotes which make absolute sense to me:):)----

Calvin: I think life should be more like TV. I think all of life's problems ought to be solved in 30 minutes with simple homilies, don't you? I think weight and oral hygiene ought to be our biggest concerns. I think we should all have powerful, high-paying jobs, and everyone should drive fancy sports cars. All our desires should be instantly gratified. Women should always wear tight clothing, and men should carry powerful handguns. Life overall should be more glamorous, thrill-packed, and filled with applause, don't you think? Then again, if real life was like that, what would we watch on television?
